Fuel Oil Leaks

If you discover a leak in your Fuel Oil system, the very first thing to do is locate and shut off the fuel supply before calling a plumber.

While this may seem like a common sense thing to do, many people don't know where their Fuel Oil Shut Off Valve is.

You may want to determine where the Fuel Oil Shut Off Valve is on your property before an emergency (it's usually located on the big Fuel Oil Tank).

Then notify all family members of the location, and demonstrate how to turn it off. Consider having them each do it as well, so they know what to do during an emergency.
